KEEP IT FAX TIMELINE
Keep it FAX was founded by MohammAd Sesay in 2012, with the support of Matthew Santer, Jade Noble, Fahad Quadri (RIP) and Adjohda Maharj. During the last 7 years we are proud to say that we have been a consistent source of support to a small group of children in Sierra Leone.
Mohammad visits schools in the East end of Freetown with the idea of establishing partnerships and providing scholarships.
* Keep it FAX registers with HMRC as a recognised charitable organisation.
* Celebrates with inaugural fundraising event.
*Decision to partner with Kankaylay and donate to Lifeline schools.
*Removal of scrap rubbish from unused class room in Kankalay school. Keep it FAX pledge to furnish new library.
*Additional donation of Computer equipment to schools and clothes to orphanages.
*Donation to Kankalay. Scholarships awarded to 5 girls.
*Donation to Lifeline Nehemiah to sponsor 5 boys school fees.
*Donation of children’s clothing to Lifeline orphanage.
*Schools suspended due to the Ebola Crisis.
*Keep it FAX partners with Rhondda Cynon Taff hospitals to ship hospital equipment and medicine.
*Donates remaining funds to MSF who have medical interventions in Sierra Leone.
*Resumed scholarship program with Kankalay school for girls.
*Scholarships provided to 16 girls.
*Library refurbishment complete.
*Scholarship program with Kankalay School for Girls continues.
*Mudslide takes place displacing over 3000 people.
*Keep it FAX intervenes by donating non food items to Don Bosco Fambul.
*Kankalay pupil Kadiatu Kano passes the West African School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) and gained a place at Fourah Bay College to study Commerce.
* Keep it FAX forms partnership with Sulmar International School.
* Provides scholarship to 30 girls across two schools.
* Changes to structure and employment of new staff Adama Gloria and Ibrahim-Sourie Sesay.
